3:05 Porland Marathon 10-10-10: results: 2:57 including a 3 minute pit stop at mile 14 :)

Currently on DL with a left calf tear, have not run for 3 weeks, driving me nut!!  Cross training and focusing on deficit areas I have not made time for recently, keeping weight low so can return to racing hopefully late August?

Still no running, been nearly 3 weeks.  Calf still hurts a bit with every step, but steadily improving.  Been cross training a lot, yesterday 35minutes on arm bike, 35 minutes on recumbent bike, 30 minutes on elliptical, only felt a little calf pain couple times.  Stretched really well after workout.  Keeping weight low, sitting at 165 pounds, would like to drop down to 158 prior to August.  Weight training a bit with gluts, hip abductors, core, quads, hamstrings, upper body including rotator cuff.  Swimming some, would like to compete in a sprint tri late august, doing a kids tri with my daughter 9-10-11.  Race a half marathon possibly in the fall.
